Resurrection Party!

Today I had the priviledge of joining Sammy's preschool class for their Resurrection party. Boy did these "room moms" know how to put on a party! Trademark smile.
Praying for snack - precious!
Yummy snack!
Next, the kids made "Resurrection tombs". First the kids bathed Jesus "marshmellows" in oils (butter).
Then rolled Him in spices (cinnamon and sugar).
Wrapped Jesus in cloth (crescent dough) and put Him in the tomb (oven).
When Jesus came out of the tomb the cloths were empty! Jesus had risen! (Or as one preschooler put - we baked Jesus in the oven and he melted!) - ooops, but you have to admit it was a great attempt to teach a hard concept! ;)
Sugar, sugar... Oh honey, honey....
Sammy displaying His Resurrection plant.
Dancing the "freeze" dance.

Singing "Jump for Jesus!"

To top the afternoon off, Ben got to spend the night at Grandma's leaving Sammy and Mommy with an evening all by themselves. We had a special time making pizza, cookies and watching a movie! What a treat!
