We had a lovely early Father's Day celebration this Saturday with my parents, grandma, aunt and cousin. Here is Grandpa opening his card with a special "sound message" in it... I think it was a hit! ;)
Sammy signed his name to Papi's card all by himself!
Por fin!!!! Finally - an espresso maker! Juan had to bid "ado" to his beloved espresso maker in Costa Rica and has been without it for almost a year - now he is back at it making delicious lattes and mochas - all of you are welcome to have coffee with us now! :)
Papi in the now "traditional" birthday hat - it has been passed along for everyone's birthday this year. Although most try to get out of wearing it, Juan wears it with pride!
Make a wish! They say you always loose something in a move - I still can't find those darn birthday candles!!! A tea light worked just as well.
Sunday morning the boys and I made Papi his favorite breakfast - Gallo Pinto!
The boys were very concerned that Papi had to eat his breakfast "in bed" - so he hopped back into bed to please them! ;)

Happy Birthday to Juan! I love the birthday hat! and unfortunately gallo pinto is one of my least favorite foods... but I do miss the tico cheese! ;)
