This weekend my newly RETIRED mom and almost RETIRED (as of mid-June) Dad joined us for a nice afternoon at the beach. The outing began with a trip to Ivar's for salmon and chips (YUMMY) and ended with chocolate ice cream (a must when the grandparents are around!). We are so excited for this new part of my parent's life - congratulations mom and dad - you deserve it!
The kite emerged from the garage from last summer - we finally had enough wind to get it in the air!

I'm still contemplating if this thing is a toy or just a torture device... Ben could barely stand up straight after Papi had his way with him...
