Since Juan doesn't take much vacation time, we decided to use our three day 4th of July weekend as a family getaway - to SPOKANE! The reaction of most people was, "oh - are you visiting family there?" or "do you have a conference?" or "you must be going to Silverwood Theme Park." Our answer was "no, no, and no". We actually purposefully went to Spokane - really! We knew we didn't have much time to go away somewhere, we wanted to go someplace warm, ride bikes, and a place with a Marriott hotel to use Juan's Marriott points - and that is Spokane, Wa!
We spent the majority of our time in Riverfront park where the old world's fair was. Although there were only a handful of amusement rides - the boys thought they had arrived in heaven!!! (shhhhh - don't tell them about the REAL happiest place on earth - they think Spokane is it!) ;)
Everyday we rode our bikes to the park and had a picnic and munched on fair food - yummy!
